Torronsuo National Park in autumn colours

The second stamp portraying a Finnish National Park is the Southern Finlands Torronsuo in Kanta-Häme. Looks a bit like Serengeti, doesn’t it?

The wretched pine was photographed by Petri Volanen. We used metallic creyish blue on uncoated paper stock to give the envelope a humid, swamp-like feeling making Crane (and the FDC text) gently disappear into the mist. The first day stamp depicts a simplified boardwalk. The typeface used throughout the Torronsuo ensemble is our very own Vessel Slab Serif.
