Onni publication

Suomen itsenäisyyden juhlarahasto Sitra (OMG wonder what that is in English) commissioned us to the visuals to a publication on the future sustainable success of the Finnish countryside. The book is about new, interesting go-getters who are willing to move to the country-side, and what they want from it and especially what they can do for it. A very topical issue.

The content of the book is done by trend analyst Kati Hienonen, and edited by Riku Siivonen. Since type designer Jarno Lukkarila is our buddy and used to reside in our premises, we want to also share the fact that the logo is set with Calypso, a typeface by him.

Our goal was to turn a potentially boring report into something legible and interesting. A real work-book, not just text to be forgotten. Together with the rest of the team we concepted how that could be done, and worked even in a name for the report.

The name is Onni. It stands for Happiness.
