BOTH is among Gold winners in Graphis Logo Design 8 competition. For which logo design? That is still a bit of a mystery.
We did a little thingie with the WDC organization and Idealist on visualizing information. A fast project it was, and in the core of our passion: to understand and to make understandable. More on this later on.
Wow, we’ve got four of our pieces in the new Design Elements: Color Fundamentals -book by Aaris Sherin, published by Rockport.
Aaris is currently an assistant professor in the St. John’s University in New York. Here’s some more on her.
A nifty little book we say.
Here go the cover and some crummy snapshots to our pieces. Click to get to the original!
We earlier told we’ve been honoured to be included in a Polish school book. We do not really know what the book is specifically about, but it seems it’s about language and culture. Our Freedom of Expression poster is in it and the topic is cencorship.
Here’s an iPhone snapshot of the cover in case somebody can shed more light on this.
We have a two new BOTH babies aboard. The smaller one goes for Pia, who is on maternity leave now. We’re expecting a visit anytime. Congratulations Pia!
Our bigger new baby is our new designer Jani Reinikainen, who is fast, fluid and chameleont-like addition to our team. Jani has a background in advertisement, digital design and illustration. It’s been good. Welcome Jani!
We’ve been too busy to update our blog. Sorry. We’ll update some nice stuff right now.
And we’ll be jurying for the national annual Best of the Year -design competition held by Grafia. We’ll be in with the Visual Identity pack.
We had the pleasure to host a brief session with the General Manager of Toyota Kansei Design Carole Favart and her companion, research student Alexandre Gentner at our office. We showed some of our work and gave them a quick peek into a new digital concept we are developing. We got the impression they appreciated our design in general but did not appreciate the visuals of our mock-up-concept. Don’t worry, we’ll work on that.
We just recieved delightful news from Taiwan: Our poster (BOTH self-promotional poster) is among finalists in Taiwan International Poster Design Awards. Some 1 393 design works were submitted from 32 different countries. Feels good.
