It pays to be visible

When ever Jätkäsaari is covered by the media, strangely enough most of the pictures from the up-coming area seem to have something in common. Often they all include the bunker. It makes sense since the bunker is the largest building under conservation in the area. However the bunker is NOT shot from Hernesaari dock where you could get a nice view of eastern coast line of Jätkäsaari and its lively port with luxurious passenger boats from all corners of the world. The bunker is NOT shot from south where you could get a beautiful view of Jätkäsaari in its full length. The bunker is NOT shot from Lauttasaari where you could get a good impression how Jätkäsaari is positioned in the headland of Helsinki.

Makes you wonder why the bunker is always photographed from north, doesn’t it?
