Monocle, the style bible magazine by Tyler Brûlé ranked Helsinki as the most livable city of the year. Spending our working days situated only 200 meters from the sea-shore in the heart of the city centre we agree.

Not only is she a dance champ, but the nifty calendar Katri and her peers designed at the Aalto university was published in Save 7the Date -publication, which presents new ideas and approaches in calendar design. It sports design from 86 different design houses and/or designers world-wide. Save 7the date is published by Viction:ary in Hong Kong.

Our dear Lahti Poster Biennial is in its 18th round. This year it was especially succesfull with 6958 entries from 50 countries. That’s a lot.
The exhibition displays a memorial exhibition for the great Tapani Aartomaa, who was a professor to many of us. We have a poster in that among other former students of him.
The exhibition is open until Aug 15. Do go and see.
Since urban design = landscape design = landscape art = interesting and we like to fiddle around the field of fine arts, we did this piece to the Hyvinkään Taju -national contemporary art exhibition. The theme of the exhibition is the Sense of Wood. The exhibition is open until August 28.

The brand illustrations we commissioned Vesa Sammalisto to do to our dear client Hyvinkää are out and noted.
Trendhunter.com (one of the wordl’s largest trend pages), states, that “Not only are these illustrations cartoon-like, but they are about the farthest thing from typical.” We take that as a compliment, especially since it was meant to be one.
Also, in the world-wide Behance.net portfolio gallery Vesa’s illustrations were a cover pick of the day.
We are really happy with the illustrations, they give a strong voice to the City communication.
